I there wasn’t such a thing as loyalty everyone would be paranoid and have trust issues.  Knowing that you can count on someone is comforting and lets you open up to others.  If you couldn’t trust anyone then all your secrets would be bottled up inside you because you would be scared that they would tell everyone to become more popular. Loyalty is important in a different way now. Back in the day you needed it for wars so that your allies wouldn’t kill you. Now people need it for emotional support.

Is loyalty important to you?

Loyalty is definitely very important. Honestly I think you need to be loyal to be popular. People won’t like you if your are spilling all their secrets. For me loyalty is more then popularity. I’d rather be happy then popular. First off there are the popular kids. 90% of the time it's because there rich or pretty. They are all super fake and loud and hyper. I'm friends with a few people in this group but I can't stand being around them all together.

Next there are the kids that are a tier 2 popular. They don't need to be rich or pretty. Most of the time they are friends with some people from the popular kids. They don't act like them though. There are less annoying and value their friendships more. I would consider myself being in this group.

There are the druggies. These kids are mostly in grade 9 and older A lot of the time this friend group overlaps with the popular kids but not all the time. This group is super lazy and aren't fun to have conversations. Often times they don't have goals in life and all they want to do is have fun. I try to avoid that group as much as possible.

The next group are the jocks. Now In my opinion these are mostly hockey kids. I totally understand this group though. Everyone is hanging outside of school on their teams so they hangout during school as well. This group are a nice group of people to talk to. They are nice fun and healthy.

The last group that comes to mind are the more nerdy ones. This doesn't mean there smart. These kids have harder times talking to people. They might not keep up with trends. The have an area in the yard where they sit on their phones by themselves. I find this really sad sometimes. I can be hard though to always have a smile on your face and be super sociable. 

There are many more are could name but these are the first that came to mind.

I think Johnny is gonna be ok. I think he’ll be paralyzed. I might just be saying this because I don’t want him to die. I have a feeling he’ll be ok.

I think that if Johnny survives he's gonna snap. He's going to turn bad. Kind of like Dally did when he was younger in prison. 

Maybe during the big fight someone will get hurt. This would make the police more tempted to put the boys in a home or prison.

In the end of chapter 9 Johny died and near the middle of chapter 10 Dally died. The first obvious reason that the deaths were in the book were to make it more interesting. It created suspense. However I think SE Hinton needed tragic things to happen to the greasers to show change in their personality. More specifically PonyBoy's personality. He was completed ruined after they died however we understood the message and the meaning of the novel started to unfold. At the very end Pony wasn't in denial and wanted to share his story. He wanted to help kids who were misunderstood. This poem consits of lots of imagery. More specficlly sight/visual imagery. Here are some examples.

I imagine spring time before the plants have become green and are still growing.

"nature's first green is gold" reminds me that the leaves on tree's are golden for a bit however they turn green in the summer

"her early leaf's a flower" reminds me of when on certain plants or trees there are little flowers that turn into leaves.

"so eden sank to grief" this is the garden from the bible story of adam and eve. I think this line was talking about when they ate the apple in the garden and the sadness associated with the grief.

"so dawn goes to day" in the morning there can be beautiful golden sunrises but then once it's later in the day we don't even see the sunrise or notice them.

2 What is he suggesting with the imagery
 
Some things may be perfect in the begging but over time beauty and perfection fades. People can't be perfect they have to make mistakes in order to grow. They may not stay perfect forever but they can bloom and become who they are. People need to fail and not be perfect in order to reach their full potential.

3 How does it relate to the outsiders characters

Johnny wanted Pony to stay golden. However after Johnny died PonyBoy wasn't golden anymore. He had trouble finding golden parts of life. He started falling and becoming more angry. However he realised he struggles and grew as a person. It wasn't beautiful; or perfect but he realized by writing his composition he could help people.
