1. the name "Pangolin" comes from the malay word “pengguling”. its translates to "something that rolls up"

2. When they feel threatened, they will curl up into an almost impenetrable ball to protect their undersides. If their caught, they will thrash about using their tail, because their scales are so sharp, they can slice the skin of a human or animal. They may also release a stinky fluid as a defense.

3. They can constrict their nostrils and ears when they are eating to keep them out.

4. A Pangolin's tongue can be up to 16 inches long!

5. Their scales take 20% of their total body weight.
