Children below the age of 8 have been using internet more than some of the adults. They use it as a form of entertainment, because of this they do not have that much of human contact and because of this their communication skills are affected. Moreover, at that young age they often do not have the maturity to distinguish between what is wrong and right. Therefore, according to me, I do not support children aged below 8 to use internet.

Children below the age of 8 are immature in the sense that they may not be able to prioritise tasks that are important and have to be done first. For instance, a seven-year old may get carried away with the online game he/she is playing and forget about the homework that needs to be submitted the next day. Furthermore, they may not be able to identify the intention of stalkers that befriend them. They face a high danger of getting kidnapped or sexually exploited by those with bad intention if they are exposed to social media at that young age. However, the internet can also assist them in online learning. Hence, I feel that children below the age of 8 can use the Internet but their usage should be under the supervision of parents.

The internet is a tool that is open to anyone and everyone. Most importantly, it is open to children below the age of 8. Internet does help the children learn things online without having to go to physical classes. However, there are a lot of dangers lurking out there in the internet for the children. They often use the internet for entertainment. This causes them to be carried away from reality. They do not know the people whom they may be socialising with. These people could be scammers, kidnappers, or paedophiles. Without knowing this the children may let out their personal information. Moreover the internet could also turn out as a distraction from their studies and it may also cause health problems such as myopia. Thus children below 8 years can use the internet but under the supervision of a trusted adult.

The internet is a platform people use to communicate and grow their knowledge. I personally feel the internet is not a safe and comfortable thing to expose to children. Kids at the age of 8 are in the important phase where they develop important life skills and physical skill. The internet has the capability to make the kids addicted to it. Once kids become addicted to internet and their online gadgets, they tend to spend more time using it rather then associating, socialising and having physical movements. Apart from that, nowadays e-learning is widely followed and done in school. However, the use of e-learning could sometimes distract the kids from learning. However, it`s quite essential in today`s digital world, kids learn how to use the internet in a safe way. Kids should be thought how to use the internet with the guidance of adults and trusted elders.

Children below the age of 8 in my opinion should not be using the Internet by their own. But the sad reality is that kids are going founder towards Internet and their tablets and ipads their own due to their parents giving in. There are a lot of dangers laying around that might not reach both parents and and the kids. For example, explicit content, bad words and many more. Adding on to it, kids might and will get addicted to the internet since the have started using since young. They may not even realise that they are addicted it will be parr of their routine life abd they would not be able to live off a day without Internet. But moderation keeps everything safe and balanced. This is where parents and teachers play a part in monitering their uses and safe them from falling into the trap of addiction.

Now a days, the internet has become an important part of our lives and children have to be tech-savvies.However,there are also some sites that children should not be viewing. So it is the parents‘ responsibility to take care of what the child is surfing on the internet. But children nowdays are thought to use the computer and the internet when they are in primary school.Therfore,I believe that children aged below 8 can use the internet but with a time limit of 20 minutes of screen time to avoid early myopia.

The internet is very important for everyone’s learning. However, I feel that for a eight years old it might be too early as they need to learn to be more interactive. If they get exposure to internet at such a young age, they might lose their skills to socialise with others. This might affect their family bond and even time with their friends. Also, they might be addicted to the websites found there. Hence, it’s safer that they are exposed to internet at an older age.

The Internet allows us to find and gather information we require in mere minutes in our fingertips and helps us to be up to date with the recent news . Nowadays children below the age of 8 are using more internet than ever before as firstly parents are quite busy these days and if their kids are crying they would automatically give them their electronic devices that plays the child favourite cartoon to pacify them down . By this children are exposed to digital devices more often making them more addicted to it as time goes by . Also Children who are at the age of 8 are at their prime where they learn about social skills and so if they are addicted at this age , they would lose their ability to interact with kids around their age and thus affecting them in the long run . But Like two sides of a coin , The Internet has its advantages as Kids are able to add on to what they learnt in the classrooms through the various online sites and educational games . So Parents should place consistent limits on screen time for the young kids .

Internet is a great platform to explore and learn many great things. It can benefit one if they use it correctly. I feel that the internet can be a tool to educate children of the age 8 and below. This is as there are many educational websites online that have great content and teach children. For example nursery rhymes can be taught to children with the help of websites such as YouTube. Children can learn things that they are unaware of that even their parents do not know. Also learning online would be interactive for them and the educational games can really spark their interest to learn something new. Hence the internet is a great way to educate children. But however as they are too young they may not know who to utilise the internet properly and correctly. Thus parent supervision would be very important. Parents have to restrict to the type of content and websites they venture into and choose appropriate games and websites for them to use and play. Children also have to be limited to the amount of time they are given to use the internet. This is so that they don’t be too reliant on learning online and use other resources to learn as well. Also, spending too much time online and one the internet is not healthy for them. They could even lead to health problems such as myopia. Thus it is important to limit to the time they use the internet.

I believe that Internet is indeed a excellent platform where learning can be done efficiently. It is solely based on how an individual uses it. In this case of a 8 year using should be greatly looked upon. There should always be parents looking onto the kids when they are using the Internet as it might lead them to reading the explicit contents which is not suitable. However, the 8 year old can use the Internet for many useful resources. For example, online exam papers, educational games and seeing educational videos or cartoons they like. They would learn something from the Internet.

However, they should be educated on the safety and security of Internet safety to prevent problems in the future. Otherwise, the Internet is definitely a great platoform for all aged.

The internet has changed vastly over these past few years. From desktop computers to hand held tablets and Vodafone modems to wireless internet. Children’s that age don’t usually own a device of their own but they usually share their family members devices. The tablets touch screen interface makes it more user friendly for young children and hence they are able to start using them at a really young age. This reduces their face to face interactions with other children their age and hence they are also missing out alot of their childhood.

On the flip side, children will also be able to learn ahead of time. This means they don’t have to wait till they are taught a certain something. For example, they can just search for a certain science topic online and learn about through songs and games independently. The internet is a great platform for all its users if they utilise it correctly and safely.

The Internet enables us to find many useful information online. We can get almost everything online at the tips of our fingers. There are many videos where we can learn many things by ourselves. The times have changed such that even young children are using Internet. Yes, using the Internet definitely has many benefits. But for children below the age of 8,in my opinion it’s not good for them to use unless there is parents supervision. This is because children that age are not aware of many things. Thus i think it would be better if their parents auure there to see the type of information they are getting. As the saying goes,”Too much of anything is bad”,it is important to limit the usage of Internet especially in children. Using Internet too much may lead to addiction.I also think it’s important that children are educated of cyber security so that problems like cyber-bullying can be prevented.

Internet is a great place to explore, learn and expand our learning. However, there is a certain age where the children are allowed to use the internet. In today’s generation even 4 year old kid is playing games on phones but surfing internet without parents guidance can turn out to be very dangerous. Children who are below 8 might not know the difference between right and wrong in the internet context. Therefore they might go into unreliable websites orworse go into website which is not secured. Leading to viruses spreading in the computer. Children might even get bad influences through internet as they are not 8 the right age to understand certain things. That does not mean they can’t use internet at all. They can still use it withtheir parents beside them or a tutor guiding them. In that way learning ithriugh internet will be safe and enjoyable for the kids.

Email accounts have such great storage capacities that they can store much more than just written communication. We also have tools like Google Drive, which let us store gigabytes of information online. Though, the internet is greatly beneficial today, it is negatively reflecting today on children aged below 8. Children in the 21st century are addicted to the internet. Nowadays, children spend more time in the internet than playing outdoors. Reason being, they use the internet to play computer games, watch their favourite shows or even listen to rhymes on YouTube. Hence, children whose time is solely spent on the internet should be kept under parent supervision. Reason being, there are age inappropriate matters on the internet in which children are unaware of.

What are your views on the internet and children below the age of 8?

Internet has abundance of information for you to know and learn. With internet you can survive anywhere, for example if you have lost your way with internet you can never get lost as it will show you the directions back. It really depends on how we use the internet. However, internet has the other side where it can cause harm to people. For example cyberbullying. At times the informations that are found in internet is not reliable. Hence, we should be able to know which information is reliable nd not reliable.

Now with advancement of technology it is very hard to not expose a 8 year old child to internet. Even in primary schools they have computer classes to teach them to on how to find informations in internet. If the 8 year old child uses the internet in the rightful way they tend to learn more and broaden their knowledge beyond their classroom lessons. It really depends on how the 8 year old child is going to use the internet and parents should monitor the child closely when they are using internet. It is because they might be the next victim for addiction.

The internet is a place filled with a vast amount of knowledge and skills which we can learn and pick up, independently or with people as well. In the 21st century we are now in, the internet is an integrated daily essential which we use Everyday without fail. As such , we do tend to see kids as young as three or four years old watching cartoons and being more IT savvy than more people. Although it is a good platform for them to learn things and gain knowledge, the dangers of the internet as well as eye related issues such as myopia can be caused if they use such devices for the internet from a young age itself. Addiction to it may also occur if they spend more time with such electronic device and internet rather than with people around them.

The internet is a place whereby we are able to access to countless amount of information whether good or bad. It is a good source for independent learning and a great source of communication. In this 21st century, in this very hard to live without the internet. We basically need wifi everywhere we go, even to do something basic like checking when the next bus will arrive. Internet has its advantages and disadvantages to children below the age of 8. It’s advantages would include how children can use the internet for learning numeracy and literacy by playing games with the time limit of ten to twenty minutes. However parents now days prefer to pass their children tablets/iPads to keep them occupied. Children are at a age group whereby they have to learn how to communicate and engage in other conversations but what they are doing now is gluing themselves to their technological devices and are not sociable. Children also learn by observations so when they see their parents using their phones or tablets they will think that that is the way to behave. Hence, I feel that children should not always use iPads or tablets all the time to prevent them from picking up basic skills such as communicating and engaging with people.

Internet is a place where every individual surf upon. Even children under the age of 8. Children use the Internet very frequently. The estimated time they use actually varies from several hours a day to 3 hours a week.
Disadvantages
They may not spend much time with their family or take part in any activities. This results in obesity. Furthermore, rapid flashing images of certain websites and games can trigger epileptic seizures. Children may not be able to separate fact from fiction. They are vulnerable to cyber-bullying. Internet limits challenges to their creativity and imaginations. They may also have short attention span and poor focus.
Advantages

Children can learn more information on the internet and can be equipped with skills.

Internet is essential for both learning and entertainment however, usage of internet should be timed and not overused as over usage may lead to mental and physical health related issues such as chronic headache, stress and vision could be affected too. However, when internet is used wisely so much online learning can be done especially for people who are time constraint. It will also be much more convenient as a lecturer being physically present will be of lesser necessity.

In the current century, children below the age of 8 are widely exposed to the use of internet. They are spending an average of 25 minutes playing video games, 60% of children watch cartoons and only about 16% of children learn online. This is evident that they are spending longer then recommend time using technologies which has led to an increase of children being affected by myopia. They also get frustrated when not allowed to use the internet and show tantrum this is due to the addiction with the usage of technology.

Hence, I personally feel that children should be more encouraged to make friends and play in the playground instead of sitting at the playground and using the internet defeating the purpose of healthy living. They should also be limited to the access of internet as there are adult sites and con artists out there preying.

I would say that the internet has advantages and disadvantages. Through internet various things can be done depending on the user’s purpose. So in this context, we are talking about children below the age of 8. I would say that I would strongly prefer if children who are at such a young age so not use internet or electronic gadgets like the Ipad or iPhone. Which is something that parents are doing to their young ones nowadays to keep their children occupied. When young children are using internet they are missing out on the simple joys of being a child. For example, playing online games on the iPad instead of actually going to the playground to play. Patents should reduce their young children from using the internet.

I feel that children below 8 years old should not be exposed to the internet as the internet has the ability to make one immobile due to the ease of access it provides us with. As children are growing rapidly, they need to move about to receive sufficient exercise and exposure to various types of environment and surroundings(living and non-living) so that they grow holistically and healthily.

The internet is a boon for humans, we gain knowledge from it and it serves many of our needs in a quick manner. It is part of our every day lives. However, I feel that children below the age of 8 do not have to use the internet as much as people who are older. At that young age, children below 8 should be doing more of physical activities and learning. As we do not want them to get addicted to the internet as it will bring cons such as deteriorating eyesight, addiction to online gaming and spending lesser time in the real world with their families and friends. As they get older it might even cause them to have short attention spans and lose interest in anything else rather than the internet.
