Chad isn't doing well economically because children there from ages 7-14 have full time jobs. This puts a decline in Chad's economic growth and decreases the living conditions. Because there are so many people working the pay is worse.

In Chad, housing is unaffordable to the 42% of its population which is poor. This making housing hard to get leaving many homeless. Jobs for poor people include cotton ginning, sugar refining and textiles. Their environment is normally in the desert with lack of fresh water and valuable resources.
