These were the sites of the first major battles of the American Revolution. It was very important because it marked the start of the American war of Independence and persuaded Americans to keep fighting for their independence.

This was the meetings of people that represent a group of people from the thirteen colonies. Their job was to raise money. The second Continental Congress was important because it made the Continental army under George Washington's power, and also adopting the Declaration of Independence.

The Battle of Bunker hill was the first part of the American Revolution, and was named after Bunker Hill in Charleston, which was sort of involved. It was significant because it showed the British that American colonists could effectively fight against the British, even though they were technically already defeated. The British win the war because Americans run out of ammo.

The Declaration was a document that separated the thirteen colonies from Great Britain. With the Declaration of Independence, America became and independent nation. It showed a symbol of freedom, liberty, and happiness, inspiring people to this day.

Washington Crosses the Delaware so that his army can attack the Hessians at Trenton the next morning. He and his army win two victories; Trenton and Princeton, New Jersey. It was there that he secured his army's first major victory of the war. The army is hurting, cold and the victory and bravery of crossing the river is a very huge confidence boost.

It was a battle during the Revolutionary War where the American army led by Horatio Gates, defeated the British. It took place in New York, and was a huge turning point for the colonists. During this battle, the French were convinced to ally with the US to secure and establish the nation's independence. They send more people and more weapons which was extremely helpful.

This happened during the war, when it was freezing and thawing, mixed with snowfall and rain. There were shortages of clothing and shoes, making living conditions very hard. Colonists wanted to quit and give up. With living hard, it made it less likely for major battles to happen, giving the armies a break. They were trained by an officer and learned how to fight. Washington leads his troops with perseverance, which made them come together as one unit with his leadership.

The alliance with France appointed France's military and financial support of the revolutionary government in America. It was important because the American colonies were then supported in the war and had more numbers against the British army.

American's have nearly gone bankrupt and cannot pay their army. Washington's forces defeated Lord Charles Cornwallis's veteran army in Yorktown. It made the British army surrender. It was important because it led right to the peace negotiations, ending the war in 1783, giving America its independence, and the British realize that the war is unwinnable for them.

It was a document that officially ended the American Revolution and showed that America was an independent country. The significance behind it was that it ended the war, giving peace to everyone and their allies, and granted the U.S. western territory.

Terms of the Treaty:

1. America becomes independent

2. The Western boundary is the Mississippi river

3. Fishing rights in the Atlantic Ocean off of Canada

4. Loyalists were not supposed to be persecuted

5. All debts will be paid

America makes its first government. They decide that congress was the only authority, there is no president, each state gets one vote and 2/3 of the majority of people needed to pass a law, all states must agree to any changes to the Articles, and they will not tax or raise an army.
