Summary:
She uses imagery to describe how she feels about boys and girls. She conveys her feelings on how girls and boys have different lives, opportunities, and jobs.

Literary Devices Used:
Imagery
This shows imagery, it helps me to picture what Esperanza is feeling in this moment. It also helps me to understand the emotions she is having, and how she feels boys and girls live differently.

Topics:
The topics discussed are the differences in society, her feelings, and the impact that being a girl or boy makes on your life.

Theme of Line:
The theme in this line is, no matter what opportunities are given to you or whether or not boys and girls are equal, you should never give up and always try. Imagery helps me to understand how she feels in that moment about boys and girls.
