Looking at his childhood, you would never expect that Russell Cooper was the youngest billionaire in the world. When starting his freshman year of high school, he also started a software company. At 15 years old, he has to make the decision to follow his dream and run his company or finish high school. When he started struggling to balance school and work, he decided that he would finish school before growing the company any more. Throughout the fall, Russell played football and although he was a freshman, he was a starter. Even with the responsibility on the field, he found enough time to eagerly keep up his studies and career. As winter passed, track and field started in the spring and he wanted to make a statement as a freshman on the four by 200-meter dash team, even though his grades started to suffer. As he wished, he made a statement and his team ended up in the state championships and by the end of the competition, they were champions. All of the other work he was doing for track caused his grades to fall and by the time he got back to his studies, it was too little too late. When he was told he would be repeating his freshman year, he was crushed. Russell struggled to make it through the next month while being distraught and heartbroken. He was still in disbelief that he would not be moving on to his sophomore year. After lots of thought and soul searching, Russell made the hardest decision of his life and decided to leave school and pursue his career in running his company. After running the company for the next three years, it grew exponentially and by the time Russell would have graduated high school, he was named the youngest self made billionaire in the world.

His Story

Russell was born on October 16, 2000 and as his family was celebrating, they never could have expected what would happen before his 18th birthday. Russell had a normal childhood, he was a fierce competitor. He played football on the street and was always outside with his friend as energetic as a pack of wild dogs. Growing up on Akron, Ohio he found organized football at a young age and immediately fell in love with it. Growing up, he always wanted to be a professional football player, but it is crazy how things change after a couple year. After finishing eighth grade, Russell found a new passion, computer programming. He worked that entire summer and just before the start of the freshman year of high school, he launched his business and it took off like a rocket. After struggling through his freshman year trying to balance grades, work and sports, he decided it best to give up school and the sport he once wished to pursue into a career and work as hard as he could on his company. As I said before this decision paid off in the long run and Russell was set for life. While working at his company, he met a beautiful girl when they first locked eyes it was like fireworks and immediately knew that they were meant for each other. Russell worked until he was 25 and then hired other people to run his company for him. After his retirement, he married his girlfriend of four years and decided to move to California to start a family. Now he is a stay at home dad and spends three nights a week volunteering as his son's football coach and is doing his best to raise his kids the same way he was raised, the right way.

This just goes to show you that even though someone may not have the same education, they can succeed with hard work. It is possible to get out of the social class you are in as a child and it happens more than you think. Russell is an inspiration to kids across the country that did not think it was possible to make it big coming from such a modest childhood. Just to think, he was a normal kid that grew up like anyone else and now he is living his best life.
