Today I had one of the most appealing seminers in my life. I had attended many online and face to face courses, but this one hundred percent was the most useful one.

I met my classmates and the teachers made some warm-up and ice breaker activities. We all nearly got to know each other from the fırat day. We learnt much about PDC. PDC is a conception of creating cooperative and collaborative environments for our students to discover themselves. It's sharing our ideas, experiences and problems we face in our classes with our colleagues.
As English teachers, we have to update ourselves according to our students' needs.

We had many different types of activities in the classroom. The most interesting one was Actionbound. It's a web.2 tool. I'm gonna definitely use this in my classes and my students will have a lot of fun.

I had another perfect day and got some more new experiences even if it took whole day long. But I didn't feel tired since we have trainers like Christina and Özcan. Their energy makes us feel happy till the end of the sessions.
When it comes to the questions, I would prefer using a combination of these three materials, but the most relevent ones for my listening classes because there are some useful activities in our coursebooks as well. Of course, nobody denies the power of authentic materials. They are real life materials that we bring to our classes and attract students' attention.
The second question: I exactly think they will be useful and I will apply and use those in my classes ASAP. Students are active in each section of the listening, you take their attentions, ask questions and elicit examples. You are becoming model by demonstrating the activity.

Everyday is going better with this group and lovely trainers.
In crowded classes, it is hard to take all students attention ,so I would like to explore how to make my students active listeners and speakers. This is a big challenge
There are many challenges we face in fact.
The most common ones are students are afraid of making mistakes while speaking the Target language, they feel lack of self confidence and and they are unwilling to speak.
I love finding problems and solutions part the most for listening and gallery walk for speaking session

Time is flying with these lovely friends and trainers. We are getting used to each other, but last 6 days. I love this community☺️
I will try to use all the strategies we learnt today in my classes. However, I think the most effective ones are skimming for pre-reading, detailed for while-reading and gist or comprehension for post-reading. I would give some posters and realia from real life to attract their attention, and would want them match pictures to text and discuss or debate the text for understanding overall meaning.
I think my colleagues will love the idea how to differentiate a reading text in an appropriate way and apply it to our classes. How to monitor the classroom and how to give feedback in a correct way is also crucial. Making a reading text more understandable and engage students by using suitable strategies like pre, gist task, detailed task and post reading activities are so important.

We had a memorable day with our lovely class. Many things to stay with us from here.
From today's writing session, which is the most challenging skill for our students, I think the most useful strategy would be snack writing. It is not too much hard and time taking. We can apply this in our classes easily by using some activities like we did today. Today's warm up was a useful one, and they will have fun while doing this.
They will also like jamboard writing stick notes. The power of digitalization is undeniable.

Well, We are teaching grammar for years, but this training will change my way of teaching it. No direct grammar teaching from now on. First, I will let student discuss to generate their interests on the topic of the lesson by lead-in. Then I will present the language by stories or anecdotes for eliciting.
Focusing on pronounciation by modelling and drilling is important. I will give them some controled activities. Finally, discussion oh theme and role-play will help them for fluency.
All vocabulary teaching suggestions were amazing today, but I think the most useful one was using flashcards because they are more memorable and you can do many activities with them. Visuality is important.

I think one of the best benefits of being a part of this training is that it made me revise my way of teaching and assessment in my classes. I will deliver my PDC sessions önce a month. I will do my best to share my experiences with my colleagues in my local area. We are going to try to find solutions to our problems that we face altogether. In this way, they will apply their experiences in their classes.
The biggest problem for assessment in our local area is that we have crowded classrooms. Students are lack of digitalization. They don't have opportunity to access and use Technology
