Also causes warts in many areas and parts of the body.
Most leading STI in adults.

Human papillomavirus infection (HPV infection) is caused by a DNA virus from the Papillomaviridae family.
Can be contracted orally, vaginally, and skin to skin contact if there are open wounds.

Symptoms include, warts, or precancerous legions. Although some may never developed any symptoms. 

A way to prevent this virus is HPV vaccines, they give protection against the warts and cancers it may cause.

An affect this STI can have on newborns is contraction from mother who had warts on her genitals during pregnancy. Resulting in the Newborn having warts on the skin and also oral or mouth warts. Mother’s can give it through breath milk, skin to skin, if open cuts or even kissing baby. Most pediatrics show no symptoms and are treated by observation or various creams or ointments on effected areas. 
 
Long term effects vary, they can cause several cancers, and although the legions and warts may be treated and resolved the virus itself does not go away. 

Treatment for this includes Medical procedures such as 
Loop electrosurgical excision procedure, Freezing, and Cervical conization. Although it does not take away the virus and also like mentioned earlier vaccination is an early prevention.  They treat the symptoms that are caused.
