1. Carry out an interview with Ali to understand the help he needs and identify the difficulties he is experiencing.

2. Interview his community (e.g church group/Josef) to see how involved he is within his social circle and where he receives potential support.

3. Do a home visit and assessment to determine his safety and current living conditions.

Way to gather information:

• Request assessment to determine Ali's capacity (because there are signs of environmental interference with his occupation and it will help determine if the people after him are real)

• Interview to gather Ali's perspective

• Interview Ali's friend to get his friends perspective.

We would ask Ali how he feels about being discharged to a supported accommodation and how best to support him.
