My grandfather is sociable, he likes to talk to his neighbors and make them laugh. His favorite hobbies is telling anecdotes about his past. When I was little, I spent hours listening to him.

He was born in 1939 in Naranjaty, a small town in Paraguay and lived a childhood with many deficiencies, in the middle of nowhere and in extreme poverty. However, he walked miles to attend a rural school and strived to be an excellent student. He was lucky that a delegation of politicians went to deliver a donation to his school and took the opportunity to approach the first lady to ask her to help him enter the army with the promise of maintaining excellence in his and her grades. I agree.
From that moment on, he was a brilliant student in the Paraguayan armed forces and his life definitely changed. He toured the world with parades and military black-tie dances and saved his entire family from misery.
He left his position with decorations to emigrate to Argentina when the civil war in Paraguay was imminent and he was not willing to take up arms against his brothers. From there, he worked hard to settle down and ensure a life without want, he raised his own family, he was a dedicated and loving father and grandfather and passed away in March 1998.
