This poem is about a woman who still rises up no matter the oppression she faces as a black women being oppressed by the white people around her, i like the poem since it shows the confidence of the poet aswell as being proud of herself, this links to identity as it shows the poets unwavering resolve and refusal to change her identity which she is quite proud of

I learned that Maya Angelou was a very resilience dark skinned woman who stood up for her rights and never backed down and never gave up even though many people were heavily racist towards and as well as that she stood up not only blacks right but woman's rights. She uses nature to symbolize and relate to her resilience being deeply rooted in her and personally I love this poem as it influences future generations to do the same.

I learnt that no matter what, you should always get back up. No matter what people say about your identity, the colour of your skin or your gender doesn't make you who you are.

This poem is nice, but the meaning at first read is not clear. On the other hand, this poem has a deeply embedded meaning; the confidence used in the poem makes it clearer and gives connotations of strength and identity.

In till i rise , Maya Angelou demonstrated that she will honor her ethnicity of black-American. Demonstrating that she was worth a value and rises with the oppressor.

I like this poem as it showed her true feeling and honoring her history.

1) I learnt that Maya Angelou faced a lot of racism and abuse when she was younger, and she still rises no matter what.

2) I like this poem because she expresses herself in a very nice way and uses lovely sentences like in the final stanza.

Challenge) This links to the theme of identity because the white racist people described in this story were trying to take away her identity and she still managed to bounce back and represent and she isn’t shameful to embrace her identity.

I learnt the racial abuse the black community gets from the white oppressor. Against this Maya Angelou stands and rises up against these people by being confident of herself.I like this poem as she teaches us how to be self confident about herself and to not care about the bad things people says about you.She links it by being herself in the poem and having resilience.

2) I believe that the poem "still I rise" is a good poem, as it shows the resilience of Maya Angelou and her ancestors, as well as being an inspiring poem, although the tone Maya Angelou uses is both arrogant and condescending I do believe that she meant it in a way to fight back against her oppressors by letting them know that they are not better than her.

I learned about someone that despite all challenges in her life she still tried to have a progress, I learned about someone that with all the mocking she got ,she still got her head up and became a dream and hope of all of the slaves.

I leaned that despite the shatter black community she smiled and a symbol of wealth happiness came from that.

I really liked this poem because I learned about someone that was hope of all of her own kind and despite all of her mocking that she got, she never gave up and and became stronger and stronger everyday.

If I wanna link this to identity there was a big difference that makes every person sad. Maya engelou was fighting for her identity to keep it with all her power until she lived while in disable our protagonist lost her identity and just hope that his life ended as soon as possible.

1. In Still I Rise, Maya Angelou describes her experiences as a black woman living in a racially prejudiced society and how she still managed to rise above the hate by embracing herself and her identity.

I think this poem is very inspiring and I love the metaphors Angelou uses to describe herself as a force of nature.
