My grandmother has everyone over on New Years for pork and sauerkraut. For Easter, we do an egg hunt and have ham for dinner. Patriotic holidays, such as Memorial Day and Fourth of July call for picnics outdoors. Birthday celebrations are a must for cake and presents. On Thanksgiving, we gather to have a feast. On Christmas Eve and Christmas, we eat, exchange presents, and watch holiday movies together.

I have always been praised for my good grades and I strive for excellence.  My family supports me and my work ethic by coming to my events and encouraging me. To maintain my success, I have a very detailed calendar for myself. If something on the calendar does not get done, I do not do anything else until the task is finished. This is one example of my self-discipline. Additionally, I work at the Spring Valley YMCA as a Group Supervisor's Assistant. Specifically, I am onsite at a nearby elementary school with twenty K-4 school-age children. I work 25 hours a week there and I love it.
