Miss gave us a passage to read involving Alexander, his parents and siblings. We heard about the different things that he did to earn more money and in the end, he eventually lost everything.

I was absent for this lesson but from what I read, this handout is basically explaining the different diseases that can come from Sex and ways persons can try to drug you.

This side of the handout basically explains how you can tell someone that you are not ready for sex. It also states that if you have any concerns about it... who you can ask.

Healthy Lunch

This was a lesson where we discussed "What is a healthy lunch". Ms. Greenidge asked each student to bring one item that they thought fit the theme of the 'Healthy Lunch'. Several photos were taken to share the joyful moment and to add to our Padlet. Miss explained to the class the different food groups and what they contained.

I enjoyed a portion of macaroni pie (which I brought), corn salad with dasheen bush and a fruit punch flavoured juice. I sat with Miss Greenidge, Jahzara, Ryel and Makayla at the table to have the healthy lunch. Students also brought tomato salad, macaroni salad, red beans and lasagna.

After we ate, photos of the class were taken to celebrate the theme 'Healthy Lunch'. Subsequently, we were questioned on what food groups the healthy lunch belonged to and explained how it benefited us. Each person was able to express how they felt about this lesson and hope to learn much more about Healthy Eating in the future!

The homework given on 28/5/24 was to create a vision board on ways I can make my environment better. Next class, Miss Greenidge will be teaching us this topic so we can learn more about the environment.
