My cooperating teacher in student teaching had a running list of what she called, 'very much bad words' and her AP students weren't allowed to use those words (like good, bad, okay, great). Instead, they had to use more descriptive words like fantastic, dreary, mediocre, marvelous. If every sentence has roughly the same # of words, we talk about how that makes their writing sound. Is there anywhere that they can combine sentence or break them apart to vary their writing?

For example, they put a triangle over my word "good" maybe they will add suggestions of excellent, hunky-dory, top-notched, worthy" etc...
