An angel is at the top and angels are on each side of the altar. The base of the altar has a painting of the Annunciation when the angel Gabriel announces to the Blessed Virgin Mary she is to be the Mother of Jesus Christ. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The present building of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, built in 1907 in the center of the town of Mount Carmel, is located on a rise of land, which drew Lambert Kniest and Henry Baumhover to this area. The brick building is a Gothic design with stained glass windows and many statues depicting liturgical events and saints. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The altar of white trimmed in gold are arrayed with statues representing many saints. At the very top is an angel. Directly below are two small statues, one of St. Elizabeth of Hungary (1207-1231) with roses in her robe and the other of St. Cecilia (third century) holding a portable organ and palm branches. Alongside the large statue of Our Lady of Mount Carmel is St. Francis of Assisi (1181-1226) on the left and St. John Chrysostom (347-407), holding a crosier, chalice, and book, on the right. Two angels begin the next row with a small statue of St. Anthony of padua (1195-1231) holding Jesus Christ and a large statue of St. Aloysius Gonzaga (1568-1591) on the left side. On the right is a large statue of St. Clare (1194-1253) holding a monstrance and a small statue of St. Ignatius of Loyola (1491-1556). He is holding a book with the letters I.H.S. and A.M.D.G. "Ad maiorem Dei gloriam." which means "For the greater glory of God." the Jesuit motto. Two small angels complete the row. Angels stand on each side of the tabernacle. A painting of the Last Supper is in the base of the altar. </div>]]></description>
