"PTSD" because it talks about the story behind PTSD. In real life, soldiers from the Vietnam war got PTSD. Its very likely that characters from the novel such as Richie got PTSD too when they came home
"Bonds of friendship on an emotional journey" because its very relatable to the novel. Richie and his fellow soldiers are fighting for the common cause. In that article, it talks about soldiers fighting for the common cause in Iraq and Afghanistan which are very similar to Vietnam.

(line 5)
"Resistance and Revolution: The Anti-Vietnam War Movement At The University of Michigan, 1965-1972" relate to fallen angels because both talks about the war and the draft. The Vietnam war was one of the most pointless war for Americans to loss so many young peoples life with PTSD and dying to not get anything out of the war.

the 5 stages of grief relates to the novel ( The catcher in the rye) because it has all of those problems, one of those problems was by Holden's brother's death , he had depression he had anger most of the time with other people like his friends , by his depression most of the time he was walking alone in the night , and trough the reading of the novel he was accepting all the things that he did wrong . in real life people be passing by depression and by having this problem the be want to 🤬 themselves , or by anger the be want to fight people for some problem that thy had and that they can solve the problem they be want to fight instead o solving the problem but in real life everybody needs to accept either they are wrong or either they are right because not always people are going to be right there's sometimes that people are going to be wrong like in the novel Holden was angry because his friend was talking to Jane and he was angry for that ad they both were only friends , and he needed to aceept that

As Richie and everyone goes to war they stick with each other "Dont be a hero Perry, stay by my side because we are in this together".

Holden from ,"The Catcher in the Rye", heavily relates to the article called ,"Five Stages of Grief". Holden loses his little brother Allie and in the novel we witness these stages of grief. Holden goes through what seemed to be suppressed anger, depression, and acceptance. A lot of his internal feelings over this lost showed in other situations. If Holden didn't wasn't facing this battle he most likely would be different and handling conflicts more mannerly.
Also, Holden relates to the article ,"Characteristics of Autism Spectrum Disorder". Holden not only shares many characteristics with this disorder but his little brother Allie did as well! Holden has trouble with interactions, his emotions tend to be prolonged because he never lets things go, and he gets very attached to objects that he has. His little brother doesn't have the opportunity to show all of these characteristics but hes explained in a special way and he also was attached to objects. Holden displays characteristics shown in both of these articles.

"PTSD" is something that people go through when something traumatic happens to a person and they are still paranoid about it. soldier typically have "PTSD" when they leave a war. Bonds of a friendship is about young soldiers forming a bond in the war. five stages of grief is about the five stages if a loss. Richie in fallen angels experiences all three of these things during his time in the war. he looses some friends, for example he lost Jenkins, who was killed by a land mine. he makes a best friend, Harold "PeeWee" Gates. and he has "PTSD" Due to being in gun fights, seeing people get killed in front of his own eyes.

He saw all these people die right in front of his face and it stayed on his mind all the time. For a example when the squad accidentally killed more then a dozen Americans soldiers Richie was haunted by what he saw so he needed a bible to read the lords prayer. Bonds of friendship relates to the novel because it talks about how young soldiers create a bond with each other because of the circumstances that they are in and that is relates to Richie and Peewee how they stuck with each other the whole time and how everyone was fighting for each other

The article five stages of grief relates to Holden in The Catcher in the Rye. They relate because throughout the book Holden mentions his brother Allie. Allie died. In the article they listed the 5 stages of grief which was denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. Throughout the book Holden has experienced things that would fall into each one of those categories. Holden was always depressed he was sad and really didn't want to be around anyone. He often was angry too he told a story about how h had broke his hand from hitting something when he found out his brother died. He talks about Allie but it came to the point where he has accepted the fact that he is gone but he could never forget him. Anyone who has ever lost a loved one o anyone close to them has went through the five stages of grief even if they don't know that they did. Now Holden also connects to the article boarding school syndrome. That relates to Holden because he is also attending a boarding school. They tell how boarding school can effect ones behavior. While Holden was at the boarding school he started flunking his classes and everything so they connect because it is true that a boarding school can effect ones behavior.

in the noval "The Catcher In The Rye" it shows two most common disorders and that would be Depression and PTSD. Depression is a serious mood disorder. It causes you to feel like you cant think, and cant handle daily activities, such as sleeping, eating, or working. Holden has this because he cant talk to anybody and he has felt alone, he'd had suicide thoughts. Holden also has PTSD and PTSD is when a person goes through something so bad they relive that situation all over again like flashbacks and Holden has been showing these throughout the noval. Holden has flashbacks about his brother who had died. He relives when his brother was alive. he describes his brother so perfectly. this is why i choose this two disorders.

Both of the articles share the theme of "Reality of War". The first article talks about ptsd, Ptsd is when you go through something life changing and it leaves symptoms of the bad experience that you had. This is shown in Fallen Angels when Jenkins was blown up in front of Ritchie, this left with ptsd. And in “The Psychological effect of Vietnam" it speaks on all the difficulties soldiers have once they are in war like all of the countless killings for no reason. Both of the articles strongly relate to the underlying theme of “Reality of War” in the novel “Fallen Angels

Anger, accepting the feelings. Bargaining, the temporary truce with yourself and Depression, the withdraw from life. Richie experiences this after him peewee and Jenkins go out on patrol and Jenkins steps on a land mine. without plainly stating it the book shows all five stages of Richie's grief, form questioning his purpous in the war and why he is there to coming to the conclusion that he in meant to be there to protect his fellow soldiers and stand by them. the second article "PTSD" will affect almost every solider that makes it out of the war because of all the traumatic events that occur. the constant killing of other human beings is not something that should be easy to to or deal with but it was apart of what they had to do almost on a daily.
