         <description><![CDATA[<div>&gt;After the 1965 Immigration Act, the number of Mexican arrivals who stayed for more than a few months skyrocketed. Harsher legal penalties and policing made their lives increasingly isolated from the rest of "American" society.  <br><br>&gt;Above is a song by popular Mexican band Los Tigres Del Norte, who began recording in 1969 in California.  The song was released in 1984, two years before The Immigration Reform and Control Act, which imposed even stricter penalties on undocumented immigrants.<br><br></div>]]></description>
