- Justice, equity, inclusion and diversity. By being aware of traditional disproportionate punishments and barriers that students of color face, cultural responsiveness can be applied.
- Breaking away from stereotyping. It is important to note that oftentimes teachers and people in general are influenced by their subconscious.
- It is important to remain aware while teaching and demonstrate care and respect for every student on an individualized basis. - No two classrooms are the same. Stagnation leads to poor teaching practices, mistakes and assumptions.

By understanding the landscape of classroom management, I can dedicate my classrooms to be a place of diversity and inclusion. We should be able to come together through learning, and learning should not be an isolated activity. Student punishments are not equal across the board, and this is unacceptable. I will work diligently to get to know each and every one of my students, and take the time to learn about their different cultures, beliefs, and backgrounds. It is my goal to be a great mentor, but I realize that I will be able to learn so much from my students as well.

The construction of meaning is ever present, and through applying literacy within my specific focus, both my students and I alike will learn about the human experience, and exercise our relfective nature. Many times I find myself lost in different delightful worlds that books create, and I hope to encourage my students to find the joy in reading and to be the best version of themselves.

This article is very relevant to my specific teaching focus of English. Through observing that students' interest in reading is often times low, I will work to provide multiple options for my students to read. In this way, they can gain literary and learning freedom rather than being forced to read something. In addition to this, I will be aware and do my best to select literature and reading that sparks' students interests, and keep the topics relevant and the conversations lively.
