Lady Macbeth is saying this to Macbeth
  • the context (what was happening at this point in the play)
This is at a point after Macbeth had begun his killing spree, and Lady Macbeth is telling him to stop feeling guilty about the crime he has committed.
  • Analyze this passage from the Feminist perspective. 
Lady Macbeth is taking the lead in this passage, trying to help Macbeth control his emotions. Typically, the man would be the encouraging on and the woman would be the emotional one after a crime like this, but in this case, Lady Macbeth is yet again going against typical stereotypes and showing no emotion after the crime.
