1. How did this first "week" go for you? Was the online platform challenging? Why or why not? What could Mr. Burr have done better?

This first week went pretty well for me besides a few hiccups. I think this class is very doable but it will take a lot of hard work and time. This is okay as this class will be very educational and fun. This has been challenging because email is good for questioning, but not as good as in person. In person is better especially because you can get in person help from the instructor which helps out a lot. I do not know what Mr. Burr (You) could have done better as the videos were the best they could have been.

2. What was the most valuable thing you learned this week? Why?

The most valuable thing I learned this week was learning how to work iMovie. This is extremely critical for this class as it will be a large part of the work. More specifically, learning how to split cut and trim was vital on Week 1, Day 3. The most important part of my work this week for my project was learning how to split cut and trim. This was vital to my 30 second video. Without knowing how to do this, I do not know if I could have produced the work I did.

3. How were the Skillshare tutorials? What did you like or not like about them?

The skillshare tutorials were great as the guy who explained them was very knowledgeable about iMovie and explained everything thoroughly. I did not know how to work iMovie very well on the computer until I watched the skillshare video.

4. How did you feel about the Capture a Location project? What went well? What could go better?

I feel like it was a very cool project to work on as our first. The filming and editing was fun and I even enjoyed myself, which is really a first for me and school work! I enjoyed getting out of my house and filming doing something I love, soccer, although I am coming off an injury. Honestly, although the filming and editing went really well, the uploading process was very frustrating. Although it took me around 1 hour and a half to figure it out, I did and I did what I could to get it done. It was frustrating and I learned a lot, so I prevailed in the end.

5. Do you feel like you have a basic understanding of iMovie and shooting video on your phone? Why or why not?

I feel like my understanding of iMovie on the phone is very good because of 2 reasons. The first reason is that because I have iMovie on my phone and have used it before. I have used it to create some soccer clips of me playing for club and highschool. I have cut clips and trimmed clips as well as used special effects to clips such as fade. This made the computer iMovie not as difficult. Second, watching the skillshare video and learning how to use iMovie on the computer would help me learn things on my phone. Because of how closely related iMovie on the computer and the phone is, I feel like they go hand and hand and if you know how to do something on one, you will know how to do it on the other.
