         <description><![CDATA[<p>There are only a few characters in this scene: Higlac, Hrothgar, and Beowulf. This scene tells us a little about Higlac. We know now that he is a good leader who likes to lend a helping hand to other kingdoms. He had Beowulf and 14 of his best men travel to slay Grendel and save Hrothgar. We can tell form this scene that Hrothgar and his kingdom are full of sorrow. Finally the last character mentioned is Beowulf. He shows some of the hero traits in this scene by suggesting going on the voyage and helping the Danes out.</p>]]></description>
