- Katz is much less motivated than Bryson. He continuously begs to call off the trip for a few days in chapter 10
- We ended chapter 11 with an unnerving scene: there is an animal or animals around the partners camp site

We managed to read and stay up to paste. We were all on the same page and ready to discuss.

Today was only me and Tim as Lucio was sick. Even with a par of our group kissing we were very effective and had some valuable discussions.

3. How can your meetings become more effective?

I think next time we should go into further detail. These chapters were just not as exciting so we did not have too depth of a conversation.

2. Our conversation is detailed when concerning plot but when we talk about more critical questions we all seem to talk much more. For example, we talked whether Katz was up for it or not. Along with that we talked about the validity of the hike. Should he get as much praise as he got?

I find this quite humorous because Bryson recalls meeting a nice women, however, not too long after this it is explain how she was overly talkative and annoying and drive them to leave her behind. Towards the end of chapter 5 they decide it was rude to do that and while attempting to reconnect with her they find out she has been talking down about them to other hikers calling them “lazy” and “cowards”.

The trail is deep into the wilderness and very distant from any sort of civilization, such as the highway.

Our group was very successful. We all read up to chapter five so in terms of content we all covered what we needed to.

Since we were all caught up to where we needed to be we were able to discuss and talk about the larger portions of the book.
