This was significant to the causes that led the U.S. to get involved because it was brought to the President Wilson's attention to get America to join the war.&nbsp;Wilson who wanted to be in a neutral standpoint was no longer staying in a neutral position. The war was now turning to the Allied sides favor.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>After receiving the Zimmerman note from British cryptographers, a telegram document from Germany offering US territory to Mexico in return of military aid, the United States was left enraged. The second event of the U.S. involvement was the Zimmerman telegram which was why it was so significant to WW1. This was the tipping point of the US's neutrality. The telegram changed the course of the war.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Because of the men war going to war there was nobody to work on the home front so women stepped up to fill this role. Women&nbsp;filled the factories and the roles of truck drivers, mechanics, radio operators, telephone operators, translators, camouflage artists, munition workers, and many others. The significance of women on the home front was the number in the workforce increased. For the first time they would be stepping into mens jobs and some working on the front lines.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Battle of Meuse-Argonne Offensive resulted in many casualties but was a major part of the final Allied offensive of World War I that stretched along the entire Western Front. The Meuse-Argonne Offensive was significant as it was one of the final attacks that brought an end to WW1. This war was the deadliest campaign in US history and was the largest operation of the American Expeditionary Forces. The German party was greatly affected by this.</div>]]></description>

These War bonds tend to pay less interest than conventional sovereign debt, and repayments can be stretched over decades so it gained a lot of popularity amongst Americans. War bonds were a way for Americans to support the war. The significance of these bonds were that the government raised $21.5 billion to go towards WW1.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
