In my school's "makerspace" area of the library, expectations are set and reiterated by the librarian throughout the year. While there are one or two higher-tech pieces of equipment, most are basic materials such as pipe cleaners, puff balls, tubes, toothpicks, scratch paper, etc. We recently received a grant for some coding materials and bots. All of this equipment is organized in the library's storage cabinets and cannot currently be checked out by teachers or students, though I believe that could be a possible idea to bring up going forward to encourage more student access to STEM materials.

I think our library has a makerspace. I need to double check that and if I have access to it.

In our science lab, our supplies are in storage containers and labeled in the cabinets for easy access for teachers and students when instructed. Many of the other items that we collect such as plastic bottles of various sizes, tend to take up a lot of space in our storeroom, so that is something we need to work on in there.
