What do you hope to get out of it?

The program can serve as a comprehensive guide for young women to challenge some conservative cultural expectations. It is a chance for girls to think creatively and critically about threatening problems like global warming, food scarcity, deforestation, and biodiversity loss. What gives me motivation is that I live in a place that is one of the primary victims of climate change: drying of the Aral sea. Because of global warming and improper agricultural practices which was implemented by Soviet Union, drying of the Aral Sea makes near places uninhabitable. I am participating in this AFC program to find creative solutions to existing problems in my country and world.

My project is going to be a social-education student project that called Student Up Indonesia, a project that focuses in SDGs 4, where I can share my knowledges about STEM and what I gained from AFS to many kids in the orphanages, as well as to use instagram @student.up.id as a media to share my experiences from AFS STEM.

The environmental problems in Jakarta are far from safe, there's pollution and trash everywhere, added with the rising temperature felt all over the country, it's time for young generations to take actions regarding this change. I stumbled on an email that AFS sent me one night, about whether I would like to participate again in their online program, since last year I didn't pass the selection process. With luck and perhaps sheer will, I strive to challenge myself and interact with those around me from different backgrounds and create solutions regarding climate change.
