Program and structure; how long is the program? How will it be structured?

Advising and mentorship: what is the typical cadence of meeting with an advisor? How do mentorship roles look in the program?

Also: registering for courses for Fall -- do we wait for an email from Carol each semester to register?

-What is the timeline for choosing mentors? Can they be outside of our primary interests? Ex: My interests in diversifying the educator workforce and DEI initiative outside of public ed, however, I am close with Dr Sofia Chaparro!

-What are all the unspoken rules? :)

-I filled out the wrong FASFA form for this semester so I am currently unsure of how I am going to pay for the summer semester. My position was also recently reduced in APS due to budget cuts so I am looking to start a new job. With all the newness and life "surprises", is there a timeline that would be considered too late to defer the acceptance into the program?

-What happens if I can't do this?

Side Note: The first friend I ever met during undergrad at CU Denver was Anastasia Rivera (Lawrence). She speaks very highly of you. I also think I might of had you for a summer course during undergrad, though, I am not sure.

Aside from work outside of JEDI, what advice do you have if you have personal obstacles? For example, I'm my mom's primary caregiver as she battles cancer; she was diagnosed after I had applied. This balance is perhaps going to be the most challenging part of the whole program for me.

Second, I'm also curious about class schedule in the fall, as I'm worried it will interfere with work related projects. I'm concerned about communication as I only just found out about my class starting tomorrow, and I had to find out through classmates. As many of us work, need to provide childcare, etc. knowing scheduling well ahead of time is crucial.
