The main purpose of the introduction in The Effectiveness of Teaching Writing Descriptive Text by Using Social Media&nbsp; “Instagram”&nbsp; to Improve Students’ Writing Ability at Junior High School Students is to inform the reader about the benefits of technology nowadays and introduction one of a media that can used by the teacher in teaching named Instagram. Instagram is not only for intertainment, but it can utilized to increase students motivation in learning writing on descriptive text.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>&nbsp; 2. The research question in the introduction is:&nbsp;<br>&nbsp; - what is the effectiveness of teaching&nbsp; descriptive&nbsp; text by using social media “Instagram” to improve student’s writing ability?&nbsp;<br>&nbsp; - what is the student’s response toward the use of social media “Instagram” to&nbsp;</div><div>improve their writing ability?</div><div><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>&nbsp; 3. the significance of the research question is to give a road map for the readers about the article's result. so that, the readers don't need to read the whole text to find specific content.<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>&nbsp; 4. The author provide the background with the general information about technology and smartphone. And introduce a media named instagram and how the teacher can utilized an instagram to make the students not boring in learning.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>&nbsp; 5. the overall structure of the introduction are:<br>&nbsp; - provide general statement about technology and introduce the media that related to the title.<br>&nbsp; -&nbsp; state about four english skill, especially writing.<br>&nbsp;- provide about the advantages of instagram in teaching writing descriptive text.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;some questions to guide the discussion:<br>&nbsp;1. Is it important to have a clear and well-written introduction is it can shows our main argument so that the readers can have a good impression of our article.<br>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;2. Introduction in a scholarly publication have a clear and well-written argument, use scientific or standart languange that relate with the topic. It is also contain about original research and experimental. while the other introduction (blog spot or newspaper) is it usually used informal languange, sometimes it used a questions in introduction.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;3. It is because in introduction will contain a lot of information about what's the readers need. In introduction consist of general information about the article, so that the readers will understand what is the article's about.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The research problem that I found in an article entitled The Effectiveness of Teaching Writing Descriptive Text by Using Social Media “Instagram” to Improve Students’ Writing Ability at Junior High School Students, are:<br>&nbsp;1. What is the effectiveness of teaching descriptive text by using social media “Instagram” to improve student’s writing ability?</div><div>2. How is the student’s response toward the use of social media “Instagram” to&nbsp;</div><div>improve their writing ability?<br>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;Is it important to identifying the research problem and significance is to know what will the writer discuss or try to find about a problem. from research problem it is help the reader to find a research that relate with what they want to find or read about.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;I find some challenges in identifying the research problem that not direcly mention in the introduction. I need to read the introduction carefully and read it repeatedly to understand it. So, after I learn about indentifying and articulating the research problem, I know that the research problem is significance in an research study to guide&nbsp; and limit our research. So that the discussion can be more specific.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>THE USE OF SILENT MOVIE TO ENHANCE STUDENT’S WRITING SKILL ON DESCRIPTIVE TEXT IN UHN IGBS DENPASAR<br><br><strong>Introduction</strong><br><br>In this recent decade, English is one of the most language that need to be mastered by the students. English language is essential in people’s life, it can help us in every aspect such as, work, study or social life. In English there are four English skill, that are speaking, listening, reading and writing. English is one of the required subject, students also required to learn the essential skill like speaking, listening, reading and writing (Kaharuddin et al., 2022). In this study is focus only in writing skill. The researcher choose writing skill, because writing often hard to learn and organize the idea because of the anxiety that happen with the students. Students who have had bad or challenging writing experiences are more prone to feel anxious in specific situations (Sulfiana et al., 2022).<br><br>Writing skill is categorized as productive skill, and it has some function such as, to communicate with people, to entertain, to express, inform the readers about something. In writing students can communicate with other people through E-mail, Messenger, WhatsApp application and so on. This is pointed out by (Firman, 2022) that students can learn to communicate in writing as they interact with other people at school. From writing we can entertain the readers by texts such as; poem, novel, and short story. Not only that, writing can be a place for express students feeling or emotion and student alos can write an information that can be useful for the readers through newspaper, article, books and so on. To enhance students writing skill, the researcher use descriptive text in this study. The researcher choose to use descriptive text in order to know student’s ability in writing descriptive text.<br><br>Descriptive text is one of kinds of text that students need to know and mastery it. Descriptive text is used to describe something or someone. The structure in descriptive text is identification and description. In identification it introduce what will be describe, and description is describe the main character. In creating descriptive language, students can use the simple present and adjective clause (Oktafiani &amp; Husnussalam, 2021). Descriptive text can improve students tinking skill trough describe particular object and imagine something. This is also stated by Waluyo et al., (2018) that writing a descriptive text demonstrates how well students plan and engage in creative thought while using the foreign language they have learned, particularly during the writing process.<br><br>To improve students writing skill in descriptive text, the teachers need to do a new method in teaching so that the students not feel boring in the class. One of the method that teahers can use is by using movie. Movie is one of media that can used in classroom activity, because it can make students more motivated in learning. The use of movies in EFL instruction has been scientifically proven to be effective. Some research findings in the context of teaching EFL in Indonesian high schools confirm that employing movies in the classroom increases student achievement (Kartika et al., 2017). In this study the researcher use silent animation movie to write a descriptive text in order to train their imagination to describe a scene in animation silent movie and also can make students more independent in learning. A silent short film can transmit a meaning through visual imagery, so it is not immediately clear to the learners what the story is about. As a result, silent short films are increasingly being used in EFL teaching because they can encourage students to be more independent in their learning.<br><br>The aim of this study is the researcher wants to enhance student’s writing skill in class PBI C semester 4 UHN IGBS Denpasar and also train their thinking ability through descriptive text in describe a scene in a silent animation story entitled “A Watermelon Cautionary Tale”.<br>&nbsp;<br><strong>References</strong><br>Firman, M.
