I appreciated the way that the individual classrooms and hallways were decorated. I also thought that the common informational text reading strategies used in most classrooms as well as their student discussion expectations would be helpful at Phillips. ]]> 2018-11-19 17:26:44 UTC https://padlet.com/dyoung23/aox5j9ulimp4/wish/306027597 https://padlet.com/dyoung23/aox5j9ulimp4/wish/306320857 The adult and student "buy-in" to AVID at SanLee is amazing.  I saw some traditional classroom as well as some innovative  settings.  The students appeared to be engaged and participating in every classroom that I entered.  I would love to see Phillips use the quiet hallway initiative where the students are quiet and walking on the right side of the hallway.  It just made the entire atmosphere seem more orderly.  For my classroom, I liked the collaborative groups that were lead by the students.
