Shakespeare had his own separate indoor theater for all plays, made in 1609, and continued to give amazing performances, getting him and his company well-paid with high honor. With this, to sit inside on balcony's it cost 2 pennies, 1 to stand in the yard, uncovered (not measured with today's penny worth). Many theaters accommodated fewer people and cost more, starting basic prices at sixpence. Seats on stage sides cost popular men about 24 pence. With this all, the viewers also were served refreshments while viewing inside the theaters.

Shakepeare had little to no scenery other than play necessities such as thrones, graves, beds, etc. On top of this, the actors entries and exits were clear, but under stage trapdoors to "ascend from hell" and ceilings to play as "heaven" were used to exaggerate parts in plays. For their performances, the costumes were not historically accurate, and men played women parts in their all male casts. Actors needed to be multitalented (i.e. singing, athletic, dancing, etc.) and often some special roles were reserved for th more popular.
