6 Time Management Tips for Non-Traditional College Students

http://www.intelliteccollege.com/blog/6215/6-time-management-tips-for-non-traditional-college-students/
1.Read Your Course/Syllabus Calendar: Familiarize yourself with due dates for key assignments, and set aside time to prepare for them. Quizzes, papers and of course final exams all take a little more time. Remember the 5 P’s here – prior planning prevents poor performance.

2. Honor Your Internal Clock: Are you more productive in the mornings or evenings? Complete highest priority tasks when you do your best work. Determine if you’re a morning person or night owl.

3. Make schedules and checklists: Take charge and give yourself some guidelines. Print weekly assignment sheets and check them off as you complete them. It helps you appreciate each little accomplishment along the way.

4. Create flexible times: Help manage unforeseen hurdles by building in flexibility, both in your mind and in your schedule. Life happens – plan accordingly.

5. Stay Organized: If you’re taking more than one class, have separate binders and notebooks for each one. Keep your computer desktop organized so you can find the files you need for each particular class.

6. Be Healthy: Last but not least, keep yourself at your best with plenty of sleep and regular exercise. Energy levels deplete when stressed; increase your alertness with rest and some type of exercise. Even a brisk walk or quick stretch will do the trick
