1/31/19 Today I am focusing on one of my main questions. Who and what is causing ocean pollution? Humans around the world are helping to create this devastating issue. I have learned so much about this topic already from other projects and articles I have read. Here is a link to a great website I used for research- https://oceanservice.noaa.gov/facts/pollution.html
Here is some information I gathered from this article:

Most ocean pollution begins on land.

“One of the biggest sources is called non-point source pollution, which occurs as a result of runoff.”

Non-point pollution is caused by cars, trucks, boats, septic tanks, farms and forest areas.

Pollution is mainly caused by humans.

Not just by what we do, but what products and machines we use and make everyday.

To solve this problem within our community, you can clean up any garbage you find outside. If you don't, that garbage can end up in the ocean in a matter of days. Also, other kids can make a difference in their schools. They can start a program or protest against ocean pollution.

I decided that I am going to use the merge cube for my project. I am creating a slide that will be able to be placed on the cube and you can hold it in your hand. Today, I hope to finish my slides and if possible, try it out on the cube.
