I selected this piece of writing because I started off with it this year. This writing could show how I wrote when we were back from break. In this piece the things I see that are important are my way to express feelings and explain what I love about books and my story with them. The most important thing would be the differences between me reading before and me reading now. As well as the way I've grown. The one thing I had trouble with was remembering my past with books since it was a while ago. I would possibly add more detail on what I read. I think my writing has evolved from this because I'm more descriptive and show more feeling in my writing.

I selected this piece of writing because I feel this was one out of a few where I put so much emotion into it and I really explained the situation inner and outer. My strength here is details and emotions I described the moment and the person as well as threw all emotions I felt and feel which I don't usually share. The most important thing to me in this writing would be to express a moment only two people know about. In the beginning I had trouble phrasing my feelings. I feel this writing is one of my best ones. This writing changed from the last really well since I learned how to use my words and my feelings in a writing which I would do, but very little of it.

Interview Project

I selected this piece of writing because it's the last one of this semester and it's a different type of writing than what I usually do. The strengths I see here are how I used a different type of style and even though it should rhyme in some places it still emphasized what I was saying. The most important thing I was trying to get across would be my parents story before they met each other. I had trouble on my mom's part because I didn't interview her, but I knew more of her either way. I would possibly expand my comparison, similes, and add a few likes. I think this one sort of evolved from my last one because of the different form I used to tell a story.

Cultural Capital

I think the one capital I have grown in the most would be the linguistic capital because I feel that I can now speak up for my ideas, my thoughts, my feelings and I use my own words. I can now back up what I believe and what I know is right. I have also grown in being able to translate better than before and knowing the word in the other language. I would usually stand down and stay silent even if I felt my opinion was needed sometimes. Sometimes in class I would think of an answer to a question given and would be correct, but panic in not knowing how to explain my response. I feel I can now explain even though I have been corrected, but it fixes my phrasing.

Pachuquismo Skit

I selected this piece of writing because me and my partner collaborated and used our creativity. My strength here was being able to express the feelings and battles between siblings. The most important thing to me was being able to add a bit of us into it even if the scenarios weren't what we live in. This skit was a way to show unity, yet disagreement between sisters. I also let loose and it reminded me of the times I had to act in theater class. It made me think acting is a part of life for any scenario. When you're sad, but you hide it to avoid being questioned and tearing up during the conversation. There's also acting that includes just being you or figuring who you are.

I selected this piece of writing because I got various quotes from The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo that had power in small words. That power made the emotions. The strength I saw was me being able to identify all the feelings that could define a book. The most important thing is how I felt about the book and gave me the complexity of feelings that I love about books. Even though I could possibly add more of my questions like why? or how I felt about that quote it would be better. I think the writing changed my style of what genres I read. Also how Acevedo spoke in poems to describe her life is quite amazing which I would like to learn as well.
