One of the things I learned was how great the gap is between those who have access to the internet/ technology and those who do not. The second thing I learned was how important it is now for students to learn how to use technology as it is the wave of the future. And the last thing I learned was Education and internet/ technology use have a direct correlation, meaning the less educated a person is the less likely they will have access to certain technologies; causing a major setback in their everyday lives.

This week I learned about cyber safety/bullying and how teachers can help by suggesting parents to have more control on what their children are viewing by checking their browser history, as well as, limiting their time spent on computers. Another thing I learned is how much children these days spend on their computer screens- up to eleven hours a day! I knew it was high, but I was shocked it was that long. That's my whole work shift on a Friday! Lastly, I learned about the digital divide that has been primarily about adult learners who choose not to go on computers compared to those who financially can't afford it.

Name - Digital Divide I learned what Digital Divide means - which is a gap between people who have access to technology and those who do not. I also learned a great number of ESL learners are computer illiterate. It was also said that Hispanic and black households are much less likely to have Internet access than white households.
