Just like Homer with building his rocket to prove to his parents that there's more than just mining in his village. He wants to be able to see whats outside of West Virginia, And thats the only way to get there is to take courage and follow all your dreams. Homer and his three Friends Homer Roy and Sherman were all worried if this world ever work, or even better what would happen afterwards if it really worked. In October Sky Homer was interested about going to this new high school in a whole other village. Just like in October Sky, Homer and his three friends had a dream to make a rocket and beat out the Russians by helping the U.S. With living in the small town came with a little struggles, like being able to find tools to be able to even think about making a rocket. Just like Homer started doing with all his friends, Roy, Sherman, And O'Dell. They wanted to know how the Russians were able to build sputnik and be successful with it. And if the climber fell down he could readjust and start climbing again. Just like in October Sky, Homer and his three friends tried building many rockets, and many of them failed bad. Like some destroyed peoples yards from the explosions, but just like the climber. If he had fallen all hed have to do is readjust and start climbing again.
