To fit his personality, I imagine Gratiano dresses in a more stand-out, flashy style for the time.

Portia is the daughter of a very wealthy man that devised a challenge for suitors to marry Portia.

She has Sunny locks like a golden fleece.

She is Picky and family-orientated.

Men choose the Lead, Gold, or Silver casket so that they can marry her.

Salarino is a resident of Venice, and he is friends with Antonio, Lorenzo, and Solanio.

Business-casual attire, but rarely seen without Solanio at his side.

Discovers that Antonio lost some of his merchant ships at sea from informants with Solanio.

Assists Lorenzo in helping Jessica escape from her home and Shylock to marry Lorenzo and steal the gold/jewels.

Nerissa is Portia's waiting woman and Gratiano's future wife.

Dressed presentably for formal events but not as extravagant compared to Portia.

I picture her as someone with a small figure if she is able to disguise herself as a servant boy.

She is a romantic and Intractable.

Her and Lorenzo sneak off together and she steals from her father.

Antonio's best friend and is also the love interest of Portia

A more common looking man with lavish clothing because he spends more than he has.

Bassanio is impulsive and humble.

Took out a loan in Antonio's name so he could go to Belmont to meet Portia and because of that is now the Middle man between the rivalry with Antonio and Shylock.

Prince Arragon is another suitor for Portia.

I imagine him walking like he owns the word and dressing in Spanish attire. I also view him as Spanish.

He is idiotic and arrogant.

He is one of the 'fools' that chose the wrong casket to win over Portia and now he cannot marry

The main character of the story along with his friends Gratiano, Bassanio, Salarino, Lorenzo, and Solanio.

I picture Antonio being more clean cut and dressing wealthy.

Antonio is emotional, generous, and reliable.

Currently has all his valuables on ships and is now in a deal with Shylock that he has to either pay back the loan he took for Bassanio or he will lose a pound of flesh.

Morocco is a suitor to Portia

Described as dark skinned and asks Portia not to treat him different because of his darker skin

Morocco is charming and ignorant

He showed up as suitor for Portia and was given the rules of the game that Portia's dad left. He then chooses the gold chest but it ends up being wrong.
