He didn’t see him as a threat or as a bad person. He also didn’t understand why he was in that camp and was curious to see what was inside. The little boy in the stripped pajamas helped him get in. He got to see what they were doing to those people and his dad ended up perishing him with the rest of the group.

Mark Herman born in 1954 in Bridlington, East Riding of Yorkshire, England and is an English film director and screenwriter. He is mostly notable for writing & directing the 2008 film The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. Mark Herman was educated at Woodleigh School, North Yorkshire. He was late entering the film industry.
