Caribbean Civilization has been an amazing journey for me and I have been able to learn so much and appreciate my history, my country's history and the Caribbean's history more than before. The methods used in this course are very different than what I am accustomed to but it worked well and I was still able to understand the work just as if I were in an actual classroom. Tutorials helped create a smaller environment of learning which helped with me with any "need-to-know" questions I had. They were also interesting which made the material more appealing.

One thing over the course of the semester that really stood out to me was the Middle Passage. This gave me a more in-depth insight to what the slaves really had to go through which I was unaware of. I was so shocked at the conditions they had to live in and what may have happened if they had any problems (example: diseases). This information really helped me appreciate my history more.

Overall, the course was very educational and offered many new experiences and learning opportunities that I enjoyed this semester.
