Janine has endless stories about Lance, everytime I see her, she has another one to share. She is very involved in sharing Lance’s story and is creating a documentary about his life.

Not only was she super proud of me, she was filled with joy when I asked her for help on it. The phone call ran for 48 minutes and 6 seconds. And each second counted because I was learning more about Lance. Like most people, Lance wanted to know how to do the impossible. On the call Janine informed me that not only did Lance gain enough strength to leave captivity, but he knocked a gard out to escape. And like most men, Lance always carried his wallet with him, and in that wallet, it had family pictures. When the wallet was found and returned to the family, a picture of Janine was in the wallet, and still to this day, Janine has the same picture. 

As Lance was a hero, Janine is continuing his legacy and making him still live in spirit today.
