I've known you for a while. noticed that you're always getting the shit end of the stick and all that unwanted jazz. there's a word I have tattooed on my arm. Fortitude. It means coming out strong after a period of emotional turmoil and hard times. I feel like it kinda fits you, too. Generally, my approach to these sorts of things is always a little unconventional. it's sometimes hard for me to express the way I feel, but I'm doing my best here. You deserve nothing less than a birthday that you will cherish, year after year. Whatever that might entail, I'd extend resources to help you achieve it. Even being part of your day today meant something to me. I'm happy that I was able to join in on it, however distracted and strung out I might be. You continually rise above the past. You are fortuitous, and in some sense it has backfired on you in life. Needless to say, the future always holds the promise of change. I hope that it is kind to you.

If you had told me five years ago that in 2018, I'd have my own apartment, I'd have the love of my life by my side and I'd have so many wonderful friends who'd be willing to surprise me like this? I would have scoffed. Not me, not the unlovable, surely? I hate to make such a sad post when you guys all said such nice things, but I really need to make you all understand. Throughout my childhood and teenage years, I used to fantasize about going away and starting anew, making friends who'd love me for me, but I NEVER thought it would be possible. I never thought I'd find people whose voices were louder than the one inside my head telling me these nasty things. But I have... And it's better than I could have imagined.  I'm gonna address you all in a random order, so please don't think if your name is after anyone else's that it means something bad.

My Son, Jimin: FIRST OF ALL, the only sibling you're getting is a four-legged furry kind. No real life children. I never, for a second, thought you forgot about my birthday. I never expected something like this, but I knew that I'd receive love from you guys regardless. I can honestly say that I'm still so shocked and touched that you accepted me as your mum so easily... At first it was a joke, 'cause I thought you'd think I was weird and annoying like so many others, but then the more we talked, the more it fell into place as a reality? I hope we can continue to grow closer and that I'll never let you down. I hope I can prove to you I'm good for your dad, too, 'cause I know how protective you are over him.

Rap King Hoseok: What can I say to you that I don't say on a daily? Your hard work and dedication inspires me endlessly, and I hope I can pour my soul into my craft the same way that you have. Even though we're pretty newly friends, I feel like I could come to you when I'm down in the dumps and I want you to know that you can do the same. I meant what I said about helping you learn to play the guitar, by the way, just hit me up whenever you wanna do that! I bet you'll take to it like a fish to water.

Jemmie: Dude. You're wonderful, strong, funny and just so, so deserving of the world. Whenever I need someone, I know you'll be there without fail, without question and without judgement. I'm so proud of you, you know? That you stuck to your guns and walked away from someone who was bad for you, that takes so much strength. You might call me names and try to steal my boyfriend, but I fucking love you, man. I hope you feel like you can rely on me, too, 'cause I'll be there for you any day of the year, any time of the day.

My Garrus: Hi, my nerdy baby. I feel like my heart could explode because of all of this, you guys working together, how well you treated me and all the thoughtful gifts you got me.
