The first jet airlainers were started to be used in 1950’s The first jet airliner was a British de Havilland Comet. It carried 36 passengers. It’s speed was 450 mph. After sometime other countries started to produce jet airlainers. Sud Aviation Cravelle from France, Tupolev from teh Soviet Union and Boeing Duoglas and Convair from United States. But after sometime there were engine problems in most of these planes. Boeing became the most succesfull producer.

1960's

In 1960’s long range planes were prodeuced. Again Boeing was very succesfull. On the other hand worlds fastest air plane Concorde first flew in 1969. But Concorde retired in 2003 because of economical disaster and a dramatical accident.

1970's

In 1970’s The Queen of the skies, Boeing 747 was introduced to the market. It has low operation cost and it could carry up the 400 passengers. At this time a European aircraft AirBus flew for the first time.

1980's and 1990's

In 1980’s and 1990’S Boeing, Airbus and McDoneel Duoglas produced different types of long range airplanes. All of them have cost benefits. Espacially Airbus A320 Boeing 777 were very succesfull airplanes.

Today

Today Airplanes have turbo fan engines, advanced flight radar system and they are produced with composite materials. These innovations decreased the costs and it became easy to fly for everybody.
