1) Why do pilgrims circle the kaba in an anticlockwise direction?
Ans) The Blood inside the human body begins its circulation “Anticlockwise”. The electrons of an atom revolve around its nucleus in the same manner as making Tawaf, in an anti-clockwise direction. Considering the globe as a whole, you will notice: That the moon revolves around the earth anti-clockwise. The earth rotates around its own axis in an anti-clockwise direction. The earth revolves around the sun in an anti-clockwise direction. The planets of the Solar system revolve around the sun in an anti-clockwise direction. The Sun along with its whole Solar system orbit in the galaxy in an anti-clockwise direction. All the galaxies orbit in space in an anti-clockwise direction. When we Tawaaf around the Ka’bah we are orbiting in the same direction as the whole universe.

2)What is the symbol of Hajr Aswad and why do pilgrims kiss or touch it?
Ans) The Black Stone, al-Ḥajar al-Aswad is the eastern cornerstone of the Kaaba. It is revered by Muslims as an Islamic relic which, according to Muslim tradition, dates back to the time of Adam (a.s) and Eve (a.s). Islamic tradition holds that it fell from the heaven as a guide for Adam and Eve. It is believed that the stone was originally pure and dazzling white, but has since turned black because of the sins of the people who touches or kisses it.

3) What do the pilgrims do if they unable to touch or kiss the stone?
Ans) If a person is unable to kiss the Stone, he should touch it with his hand or something else, then he can kiss the thing with which he touched it.

3) What is the symbol of walking between Safa and Marwa?

Pilgrims run between the hill Safa and Marwa to commemorate Hagar's search for water for her son and God's mercy in answering prayers.

4) Write in order the rituals of hajj.
Muslims must first assume a state of purity known as Ihram, before performing the rites of Umrah and Hajj.

Proceeding to Kaaba – the most sacred location in Islam – and performing the Tawaf by circling it 7 times in an counter-clockwise direction while reciting prayers comes after that.

Walking back and forth 7 times, while reciting further prayers between the hills of Safa and Marwah comes next.

After completing the Sa’ey, male believers will either completely shave or cut short their hair. Women usually cut a lock of hair or have their hair trimmed a little.

Believers must once again assume the state of Ihram, and wear the proper attire. This time, they will head towards the tent city of Mina, with thousands of white air-conditioned tents for pilgrims.

The next day, everyone will head to Mount Arafat, a nearby mountain, to perform ‘Waquf’ by afternoon.

Pilgrims then hold a vigil on a plain of Arafat, from noon till the sun sets completely, praying and reflecting about their lives, futures, and places in the world.

They’ll also listen to sermons preached on the Jabah al-Rahmah (Mount of Peace) where Prophet Muhammad is believed to have preached his last sermon.

Once the sun has set, pilgrims head to Muzdalifah between Mina and Arafat.

Evening prayers known as Mahghrib will be offered, as they spend the night sleeping on the ground beneath the open sky.

The next morning, everyone will gather pebbles and rocks to use for the ‘Devil Stoning’ ceremony later in the day.

Before sunrise, pilgrims travel back to Mina to participate in the Ramy ceremony — which symbolises the ‘stoning of the devil’.

Pilgrims throw 7 consecutive pebbles at 3 stone walls known as the Jamrat al Aqabah.

After the Ramy ceremony, pilgrims offer an animal sacrifice. A lamb will be slain for each pilgrim, with the meat packaged and shipped to feed the poor in Muslim communities around the world.

Tawaf and Sa’ey must be performed again. After which pilgrims return to the city of Mina to spend a night in prayer.

Upon returning to Mecca, believers perform the ‘Farewell Tawaf’, which means to walk around the Kaaba 7 more times.

After completing the Hajj, many Muslims visit Medina, the 2nd holiest city in Islam.

5) Where did Prophet PBUH give his farewell sermon?

Ans) The Farewell Sermon also known as Muhammad's Final Sermon or the Last Sermon, is believed by Muslims to have been delivered by the Islamic prophet, Muhammad on the 9th of Dhu al-Hijjah, 10 AH (6 March 632) in the Uranah valley of Mount Arafat, during the Islamic pilgrimage of Hajj.

6) Write any three points Which Prophet spoken in his farewell speech.

Ans) 1. Basic Belief in one God. Monotheism, pure, simple,
uncomplicated and unmixed is the
foundation on which the Islamic system of belief is based. Only the invisible God, and none other, is worthy of worship and is worshipped without any icons or other material representation.
2. The Qur’an and the conduct of the Prophet were to serve as the basics of law and a healthy criterion in every aspect of human life.
3.
