A good rehearsal today it is starting to come together. The cast do need to think a bit more about their characters and how to behave when they are ensemble and in the background.
I am very impressed that some of the students are now really giving some good ideas about the direction and staging- Zaynah directed a section using other cast emembers to create a wall in order to use a split stage for more dramatice effect..

Yesterdays rehearsal was going in good shape! Just more blocking and learning even more lines and hopefully we should be ready to just polish it. Since I am a quiet person; I thought I might step up my game a little by picking some songs out for the play and a dancer who can teach us some Indian dance moves. I also like how i'm starting to ask things I don't understand and give some ideas to the class, I really feel that I am becoming confident and more interactive with my classmates and teacher! EBI: need to be aware of the audience and not turn my back towards them and careful around staging.

This week I took on a directorial role as I helped construct the set for scene three. This has helped me develop my understanding of space and staging which will help me a lot more whilst on and off stage. I think today was a good lesson because more people are performing without their scripts so we are not just reading the lines off the page but bringing the lines to life. Also i loved how we are going in separate groups and rehearsing the scenes because this way we can all put our ideas together in our group to make the scene better. I am also reading the real script so I can get a better understanding of my character.

This week I have learned nearly all my lines, just a big paragraph to go and it should be completed! (including extra lines). I still have a problem with backing the audience mistake, so I was wandering if anyone has any ideas of how I can be aware of the audience, please suggest some. This was super helpful because I was able to work with people, who I do a scene with, and really experiment with it and perfect it. Also, it allows me to help the other person with their lines if they would like to change it around.
