As a kid I always really enjoyed learning. It didn't really matter what the subject was, I simply enjoyed getting to know more things about, well, more things. When I am not in my classroom I really enjoy the outdoors and reading. After working in retail sales management for many years I moved to Barranquilla, Colombia to teach English as a second language at an all girl's high school. I moved back to Arizona this past march and began substitute teaching at the middle school I once attended. I won't lie -- I am definitely really nervous. Sometimes I feel like teaching is 2 full-time jobs; there's the job of actual teaching, but there's also the job of lesson planning and grading. School is another full-time job. Figuring out how to best manage my time will be my greatest struggle. I am lucky to have a principal who was a former teacher of mine and he has reassured me that he will do all he can to help me.
