Epic app is engaging for readers of all ages, with their Read-To-Me selection, and Leveled Reader selection students can read at their just right level.

Epic also offers a large selection of audiobooks, graphic novels, SEL, STEAM, math, history, and more. Many books that even connect to topics covered in our Amplify curriculum so students can expand their learning.

Boost Reading and Epic are two apps that we will be using this year to help support our students during independent reading time. Boost reading is designed to help support students with reading skills on the phonetic level. Students can access this through their ClassLink and it will connect to their mClass scores from BOY. Students love the journey and each journey is catered to each individual students needs. While Epic is a reading app that is designed to help model fluency as well as encourage reading interest with over 20 thousand digital books available online for students to access. The best part is that it is free for teachers. Just sign up and log in and upload your class roster.

Enriching Student Learning Through Gamification Apps

Here are some other apps available in our Self Service App, Reading Eggs and Teach My Monster to Read. Through Reading Eggs students can go on a reading adventure and learn new vocabulary skills, practice phonic skills, reading comprehension all while traveling from island to island. Students can go through challenge rounds using their spelling feature to practice phonetic spelling skills. Young learners stay engaged with their reading adventures.

Teach my Monster to Read offers students the opportunity to play in space while practicing their phonic skills. Students can build their own monster and have to read sentences to solve puzzles and defeat trolls. Students can earn tricky word friends master sight words.

Reading Eggs offers students an interactive game experience. Students begin with a placement test to identify their individual level of learning.

Teach My Monster To Read
