Safe Job Procedure:

1. Get chemicals from the storage room using a cart and securing the chemicals while transferring them from the storage room to the washing machine. 

2. Remove the hoses from the empty pails while wearing proper PPE which includes gloves, mask and a hazard suit to prevent contact with chemicals. 

3. Remove empty pails and place them onto a seperate cart to transfer them into a safe disposal area immediately. 

4. Put the full pails in place and ensure pails are properly placed at the washing machine. Ensure that ergonomic practices are used when lifting the pails to avoid strain.

5. Before hooking up the hoses ensure you have reviewed the MSDS sheets, have proper PPE on and take your time when doing so to prevent any chemical spills. 

6. Complete checklist to ensure washing machine is working properly. Changing Chemicals for the Washing Machine
Safety Work Procedure

1. Review the safety sheet and MSDS to know the proper PPE to put on
2. Put on proper PPE (gloves, safety glasses)
3. Avoid any contact with skin or clothes
4. Retrieve the chemicals from safe storage
5. Turn off all valves
6. Ensure the hose is matched with the proper chemical (color coded)
7. Turn everything back on.
8. Dispose of used chemical jug safely in the proper designated area (according to manufacture instructions)
9. Lock chemical storage area and post signs
10. Remove PPE and wash hands thoroughly.
