A KA1 application should adopt a whole school approach and match the needs of the school for development as well as the invidual needs of the participants. It should also match the profile of the school and take further its European Development Plan. I have applied 4 times for KA1 but so far no luck. My school's application gets high grades but competition is very high and unfortunately we didn't have the pleasure to attend a course or do a job shadowing in terms of KA1. My only advice is keep trying and hoping!

IMy tip: t is better not to write a proposal alone. A small but with good communication level team is a better writer. All member of the writting tean should be aware of the Official Guide and contribute. I've already applied for Erasmus + KA1 and it was difficult form me, because I worked alone on it. I got 85/100 the last time, but it wasn't enough to get the funding. So my advise is to work in team, to involve more teachers, 5 or six, in a work group for the application. Having submitted some approved KA1 projects I can say that there are some key words. For example sustainability and transferability. The project has to show that its results and impact will go beyond the institution where it was implemented and also beyond the project's lifetime.

My school will apply its first KA1 next year. I think that the most important thing is to write specific, measurable, attainable, realisic, time-bound, evaluate, reevaluate goals that you want to achive!
