Week One – Leslie – 14th of October 2021.

Have you ever been to this gallery/site before? Will you go again? What did you like/dislike about the gallery?

I have been to The National Botanic Gardens a few times before attending the lecture with my class. I would definitely go again as it’s a really peaceful scenery and it’s a nice landscape to walk through on a nice day. I liked how big and spaced it is, you could visit even when it is busy and not have loads of people around you. I liked how you could roam around and see everything and there was no time limit so you could really take your time and look at everything. I didn’t like how much information they’re was on the nature in The National Botanic Gardens and I felt as though they’re could have been more information on everything.

What new things did you learn from this visit?

Throughout this lecture we were made to really look at this objects, items and scenery around us. We had to find and take five pictures of lines, shapes, colours, textures, and patterns. From doing this I really looked at everything around me and learned about the different flowers, what the statues mean and who made them, and the importance of nature. Throughout the lecture we had to pick up 30 leaves and make something at the end of the lecture with the different leaves we picked up. As it was almost winter, most of the leaves was different colours and mostly different sizes too. I made a snail using all the leaves.
