         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Arabic name of the first Pillar of Islam is Shahadah. <br><br>The English name for the first Pillar is Faith. <br><br>Muslims complete the first Pillar by saying a declaration of faith, that recited in English means, "There is no god but God (and) Muhammad is the messenger of God."          <description><![CDATA[<div>The Arabic name of the second Pillar of Islam is Salat.<br><br>The English name for the second Pillar of Islam is Prayer.<br><br>Muslums complete the second Pillar by Praying five times a day at Fajr (dawn), Dhuhr (noon), <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asr"><em>ʿ</em></a><em>Asr</em> (afternoon), Maghrib (evening), and <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isha%27"><em>ʿ</em></a><em>Isha'</em> (night), all while facing the Kaaba, in Mecca. Before Muslims prayer they must bathe themselves. This washing is called wudu, ("Purification"). They do these prayers in several different positions such as bowing with hands on knees, standing, prostrating and sitting in a special position. They pray anywhere such as offices, universities, and fields. The mosque however, is the most preferred place to worship, because it allows for fellowship.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Arabic name of the third Pillar of Islam is Zakat. <br><br>In English the name for the third Pillar of Islam is Charity. <br><br>Muslums complete the third Pillar by practicing charitable giving based on accumulated wealth. The principle of knowing that all things belong to God is essential to purification and growth. Zakat consists of spending a portion of one's wealth for the benefit of the poor or needy.  A Muslim may also donate more as an act of voluntary charity (sadaqua).<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The  Arabic name of the fourth Pillar of Islam is Siyam. <br><br>The English name for the fourth Pillar of Islam is fasting.<br><br>Muslums complete the fourth Pillar by  fasting, which is an obligatory act during the month of Ramadan. During this month Muslims must abstain from eating and drinking from dawn to dusk , and are to be especially mindful of other sins. The fast is meant to allow Muslims to seek nearness and to look for forgiveness from God. Fasting is only necessary if he/she has hit puberty, unless he/she suffers from a medical condition which prevents him/her from doing so. During Ramadan, Muslims are also expected to put more effort into following the teachings of Islam by refraining from violence, anger, envy, greed, lust, profane language, gossip and to try to get along better with fellow Muslims.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Arabic name of the fifth Pillar of Islam is Hajj.<br><br>The English name for the fifth Pillar of Islam is the Pilgrimage to Mecca.<br><br>Muslums complete the fifth Pillar by going on a Hajj, which is a religious pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca,  in the Islamic month of Dhual-Hijjah. Every able-bodied Muslim is obliged to make the pilgrimage to Mecca at least once in their life. After a Muslim makes the trip to Mecca, he/she is known as a hajj/hajja (one who made the pilgrimage to Mecca).The main rituals of the Hajj include walking seven times around the Kaaba termed Tawaf, touching the Black Stone termed Istilam, traveling seven times between Mount Safa<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Safa_and_Al-Marwah"> </a>and Mount Marwah termed S<em>a'yee</em>, and symbolically Stoning the devil in Mina termed Ramee.</div>]]></description>
