1) I think the imagery connects (synthesizes) well with your inquiry because the colors symbolize blah and the colored pencils relate well to your passion for art.

2) I think you could include even more imagery related to art

Inquiry/Idea:
How do hallucinations affect reality?
So I wanted to use complimentary colors for contrast and use the mirror to see what the girl is hallucinating. I find this interesting because then we don't truly know what her face really looks like.
Materials:
Pencil+ watercolor+ watercolor paper
Process:
Did a couple practice drawings then lightly sketched it on watercolor paper. Finally I painted on watercolor and layered it to my liking.

-Inquiry/Idea: How is mental illness misjudged and misrepresented in society? This piece focuses on agoraphobia which is a form of anxiety where you avoid places that cause panic.
-Materials: Water colors and colored pencils
-Processes: I researched agoraphobia and watched a Ted Talk about the disorder. This informed my decision to depict someone "hiding" in their home. I layered water color and colored pencil to have more definite lines and bolder color.

Inquiry/Idea: My inquiry is: how can I capture memory and introspection through my artwork? I focused on my slightly irrational fear of fish touching my skin.
Materials: Acrylic washes
Processes: I actually revised this, there was an earlier painting on the back of this, but it got way too muddy, and I couldn't save it, so I scrapped it. I wanted to show one of my deepest, longest fears, the feeling of fish scales. I used a rainbow because it's ironic, I find comfort in rainbows and I hate fish.
Additional Notes: I haven't really been in a good place mental-health wise since I've been quarantined so this really isn't my best work, I kind of hate it actually, so every idea you have or critique you make will go directly into helping me add some more layers and paint onto this, so anything you have for me is appreciated. I still want to make some more ripples on the bottom of the water and on the fish, so that's what I'm going to do next.

Inquiry: Why does the earth exist?
This work depicts on the idea that the Earth was created or at least, that a being influenced it's creation.

Materials: Colored pencils and pen

Process: I researched about various tales of Earth's creation. In Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, God willed the earth into existence. in Asatro, Odin and his brothers made Earth out of Ymir's corpse. Whether the idea is just kind of weird or it's totally off the wall, it can easily catch traction, so one hand looks pretty decent while the other is kind of awkward. While coloring the earth, I thought that doing it in a not-so-smooth way would give it more of a look of an idea.

Materials: Prismacolor colored pencils
Inquiry: Why do appearances dictate opinions?
Idea: I took the route of self confidence and connected it with body positivity. In this work there are models of diffident races and different body types. Though these models are not represented in media often, they still recognize themselves as beautiful, confident, and strong.
Process: I found different models on the internet. I used there poses as a base. I sketched the bodies. I layered and layered and layered.

Inquiry: How can I visually show a historical and modern connection within a culture?
Explanation: For this piece I drew two women in traditional Chinese wear and will be placing them in front of the screen. A lot of China's modern lifestyle is still heavily influenced by their history. In this piece I incorporated the bamboo and peach trees that they still hold deep meaning in. The girls themselves are wearing historical clothing, one on either side of the hierarchy. This connects to modern times as they still hold the old wealth and status to be true.
Materials: Ink, Watercolor, and colored pencil
Process: Inked back screen & water colored two women.
(NOTE: WILL BE COLLAGED TOGETHER (and shadows added) SO THE GIRLS ARE STANDING IN FRONT OF A "SCREEN" BUT I WAITED IN CASE OF REVISIONS, PLS LOOK AT BOTH.)
